ALLERGEN information
All Dan’s Cookies flavours contain gluten. Ingredients include wheat, soya, milk, barley, oats, rye, and sesame. Additionally, a variety of nuts may be present, such as hazelnuts, pistachios, pecans, peanuts, and almonds. Although Individual cookie flavours may not directly include nuts, they are not produced in a nut free kitchen or nut free packaging and storage therefore are not suitable for those with any nut allergy.
Sulphur dioxide and sodium metabisulphite are also used in some products. Dried fruits, such as apricots, cherries, cranberries, ginger, vine fruits, and dried coconut, can contain small amounts of sulphites as a preservative. Some people may have an intolerance or
reaction to sulphites. If a cookie flavour contains a significant amount of dried fruit or ginger, it is necessary to state if the preservative concentration exceeds 10 mg per kilo of fruit product. However, one cookie will only contain a small fraction of this amount.
Eggs are not a direct ingredient in our cookie recipes. However, some cocoa brands and other ingredients may state that there is a possibility of egg traces due to the manufacturing environment. Therefore, the cookies cannot be guaranteed to be strictly egg-free.
While each flavour may not directly contain these allergens as added ingredients, traces may be present due to factory production processes, cross-contamination during production, packaging, or storage.
For reference, a combination of salted butter and Clover buttermilk spread is used. Clover contains sustainable palm oil and vegetable oils. Occasionally, customers enquire about palm oil for ethical or dietary/allergy reasons.
